Three people who won Nobel twice

Apart from Marie Curie, three others have won Nobel twice.

• Linus Pauling was awarded the 1954 Nobel Prize in Chemistry and in 1962 for Peace.  Apart from Marie Curie, he is the only one to have won the award in different fields. He is the only one to win Nobel prize unshared twice.

• John Bardeen received the 1956 and in 1972 Nobel Prize in Physics.

• Frederick Sanger received the 1958 and the 1980 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
